  二、配種過(guò)早。長(zhǎng)毛兔的性成熟早于體成熟。小體型品系的兔3~4月齡就達(dá)到性成熟。而6月齡才接近體成熟；大體型品系的兔4~5月齡達(dá)到性成熟，8月齡時(shí)才接近體成熟。有些剛引種的養(yǎng)殖場(chǎng)、戶為了在種兔銷售形勢(shì)好的時(shí)候，早繁殖早出售種兔，不到配種月齡就使種兔提早配種繁殖，結(jié)果因種兔營(yíng)養(yǎng)水平和身體狀況滿足不了自身和胎兒生長(zhǎng)發(fā)育的需要，造成妊娠母兔大量流產(chǎn)，或產(chǎn)下死胎、弱仔，母兔產(chǎn)后無(wú)乳或乳汁不足等情況，這樣不但沒(méi)有達(dá)到預(yù)期目的，反而使種兔身體受到損失，推遲了繁殖期。
